Colin Farrell and Kristin Miliotti talk about how much of a criminal they are
Story
Following the events of Batman (2022), Oz Cobb, aka the Penguin, puts on a show to take over Gotham's underworld. I got into the character during the production of "Penguin." Colin Farrell fought hard to get his smoking version of the Penguin to appear in Batman (2022), but it didn't work out. However, his own series depicts the character as an occasional tobacco user who prefers cigars.
The DC Studios logo is placed in a drizzly Gotham alley
The umbrella falls and the logo changes to the Warner Bros. logo. Starring Graham Norton and guests: Lady Gaga/Demi Moore/Colin Farrell/Richard Ayoade/Jack Savoretti (2024).
But after watching the first episode, I'll say this show is amazing (so far)
I thought Colin Farrell was great as the Penguin in Batman, but I never understood how you could take a skinny, good looking actor and put him in massive prosthetics and a fat suit... especially when I think he looks like a lot of other famous actors who would be just as good. I also didn't really understand why this spin-off was made and honestly, I'm just tired of Batman reboots.
But I didn't expect to like it as much as I did
I watched it just knowing that it was a bridge between the first and second movies and my unexpected joy in Farrell's performance in the first. The acting is great, the writing is great and it surprised me with a few quick twists. What I liked the most was that it had a lot more color than Batman.
I hope it continues to be this good because I can’t wait for the next episode
I noticed that almost immediately because that was a huge complaint I had about the movie (I felt like I was watching it through the prism of Zack Snyder).
