The Night Is Not Forever is a personal exploration of political activism through the eyes of Chinese-American filmmaker Nanfu Wang. For seven years, Nanfu followed activist Rosa María Payá as she fought for democratic change in Cuba. Interwoven with Rosa’s narrative are Nanfu’s poignant reflections on her Chinese upbringing and her observation of Cuban society.
