'Dexter' shares the same birthday as Michael C. Hall on February 1, 1971. In Episode 4, Blockbuster employee Deb and her friends meet wearing a dark blue short-sleeved shirt as part of their uniform. In 1991, employees wore long-sleeved light blue shirts. Short sleeves weren't used until 4-5 years later. Then came Dexter: Resurrection (2025). I went into this with pretty low expectations and mostly just excited about Resurrection. The beginning of the first episode was all about the cheesy editing and the CGI cop car, and I thought "oh boy, this is going to flop". I ate crow at the end of the first episode because the actors embodied their characters perfectly and the story had a huge promise. While we already know a lot of the backstory, the first episode included a couple of surprises that added depth to the film. It introduced some of the characters we've come to know and love, and added background to the decisions these characters make. Only one episode to go and I'm already hooked!
