In Season 8, David Zayas wasn't always playing Angel Batista
He's intelligent. He's loving. He's Dexter Morgan, America's favorite serial killer, who spends his days solving crimes and his nights committing them.
Dexter Morgan: I lived in the dark for a long time
His son, David Zayas Jr., stands in for his father in some of the photos, because they look remarkably similar. Visible throughout the first season, Dexter has a large scar on his left side. Later in Season 2, the scar moved to the right side, leaving his left side without a mark.
True to Jeff Lindsay's books
Over the years, my eyes adjusted until the dark became my world and I could see. Main Theme by Rolfe Kent Performed by Rolfe Kent Absolutely brilliant. The visual contrast between the darkness of Dexter's secret life and the glitz of Miami adds an almost surreal feel to the whole thing.
The fact that he is an expert in blood spatter
The character development is spot on, slowly unraveling the background so you can see the development of Dexter's sociopathic personality and his confusion over human behavior compared to his own. Dexter is an actor in his own life; his peer relationships and personal life are well-represented in video media. It's a dark piece, but set in the bizarre world of Miami life it's close to believable.
