Psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud invites Professor C

Lewis to debate the existence of God, Freud's unique relationship with his daughter, and Lewis's unconventional relationship with his best friend's mother. Anthony Hopkins previously played C.S. Lewis in Zemlja sjena (1993), 30 years before this film.

That woman is Janie Moore, who lived with Lewis until 1949

Lewis is shown exploring the Gospels and is invited to bed by a woman who appears to be his wife. The film takes place in 1939, but Lewis did not marry Joy Davidman Gresham until 1956. [Last lines] Sigmund Freud: From error to error, one finds the whole truth.

As a fan of Lewis' work (although far from being an expert on the man) I was very interested in seeing this film.

Hopkins and Goode's performances really carry the film

Even though the target audience is probably 30 years older than me, I still quite enjoyed it. Normally, I struggle with movies that use a lot of flashbacks to tell a story, but it's done in a way that's useful and doesn't distract or confuse. I wish the script was a little stronger.

Overall, I liked the movie and would watch it again

There were a few scenes that were more confusing than Lewis's response to the ending with the emphasis it needed.
