Story

The men and women live in a giant underground silo with few rules that they believe exist to protect them from the toxic, broken world above. Whether exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what sci-fi is all about... Season 1 covers the first 30 chapters of the book "Wave" - the book is 82 chapters long. In several episodes, the floor fans spin in the wrong direction when it comes to blade orientation.

Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 2023 TV Shows You Should Be Watching (2023) I really liked Silo. I love mystery and suspense. I hadn't read or heard of the books Silo was based on. The story is good and interesting.

The show takes place 140 years after the apocalypse

The 10,000 people left now live in a silo and these people have never been outside the silo. They don’t even know what stars are. However, they know that leaving the silo is fatal. Some people choose to go outside to learn more but they always die.

The performances are good as is the character development

Those who remain in the silo can look out the window whenever someone wants to leave and see how and when they die. Rebecca Ferguson plays Juliet Nichols who tries to figure out what’s outside the silo and why they can’t get out without dying. However, the pacing can be a bit slow as there are some filler episodes. They could definitely have shortened the series by at least two episodes but it doesn’t bother me too much because the series as a whole is so good.

I’m looking forward to season 2 with more suspense, mystery and answers as to what’s going on outside the silo!
